The last sunflowers

We had a small gathering last weekend.  We invited a few friends to bring some food to share and an instrument if they wanted to play some music.  We hiked around on our property, ate some great food, played a little music and had a lovely visit.   Chris and I planted these sunflowers and picked them to decorate the tables.  A sweet farewell to summer!

How many different colors are there in your neighborhood?

Wow!  The colors are so vivid and beautiful!

We still have quite a bit of work to do before we can really use our camper fully, but this is a huge step forward for us.  In the meantime, we've got a dry place to sleep and eat and before too much longer we'll have electricity available.

Yeah!  Ralph did a terrific job getting that 5th wheel 

exactly where we wanted it.  

No trees were damaged and it was all

done in less than an hour!

This is the first wall that you see when you drive onto our property.  Chris is getting really good with that track hoe!

Hydrangea garden

Nancy built the lower wall on Sunday for a place to plant this hydrangea - a gift from Chris.  It was really nice to work on a small project that could be started and finished all in one day!
